The District Council of Franklin Harbour will contribute $620 to a foreshore walkway and footpath on the seaside of Esplanade, between the post office and Chase St, Cowell.

The footpath project is being coordinated by the Franklin Harbour Community Development Group.

The group plans to link this short pathway in with a greater project some times in the future.

Local residents have been approached to comment on the footpath plan.

The consultation period ends at the end of the month.
